About the Founder
From Shells to Sails: How Gem Galleon Came to Be
As a child, I spent hours by the sea, pockets full of shells
and stones not because they were valuable, but because
they spoke to me. Odd shapes, unexpected textures, strange colors.
I was fascinated. That wonder only grew with age from
crystal-growing kits to my first handmade jewelry,
I’ve always been drawn to things formed by time and mystery.
But this journey didn’t begin with jewelry.
It started with candles, then T-shirts, then carving and sculpture.
Clay, especially wild, immersive, unpredictable.
I loved the freedom of shaping something new from nothing.
That spirit led me to open a local art exhibition business,
giving other creatives a space to be seen. It had heart, it had traction…
but not quite enough to carry on.
Jewelry came next first for myself. I’ve always dressed pirate, and the accessories were part of the story. Beads, brass, gemstones… they felt like artifacts. When I began making one-of-a-kind pieces for others, Gem Galleon was born: a place where my love for gemstones could finally anchor down.
But still something was missing.
I was following the same patterns as thousands of other makers. That’s never been me. I needed more. And one day, I remembered something: that pirate novel I wrote by hand, years earlier, during one of the hardest seasons of my life. Every morning at 4am, I’d write. It gave me purpose, escape, a world of mystery and danger and love. I lived in that world… and part of me never left.
So I made a bold decision:
What if the story and the jewelry weren’t separate? What if they were one?
Gem Galleon became something entirely different a living world. A shop woven into an unfolding tale. The jewelry you find here is linked to characters, chapters, and the cursed captain himself. Some people come for the craft. Some stay for the story. Some love both.

At Gem Galleon, not everything is made by my hands but everything is chosen with them.
This isn’t mass-market. This is intentional creation and curation, built around storytelling, mood, and meaning.
Some pieces are handcrafted in limited runs, designed by me and created with care , no endless copies. Others are rare finds from around the world, selected for their uniqueness, cultural history, or story potential. All are tied to the Gem Galleon world: its places, its people, its legend.
If it’s here, it matters.
